De titel van deze serie digitale schetsen is een verbastering van de Boeman en the Bogeyman. Het idee ontstond bij toeval. Het werden 16 Booh-men en 1 Booh-woman en de beelden bestaan allemaal uit hoofden met een titel en een kleine tekst. What about the Booh-men? beschrijft het verhaal achter de serie.

The Booh-men to me are symbols: they represent what we may or may not fear. However big or small and whether justified or not. Sometimes the booh-man is someone or something else, sometimes it is located within ourselves. Booh-man Longuetongue loosely reminds me of voodoo. My Damn Booh-man brain refers to my wandering mind- sometimes a blessing sometimes a curse. Oops Booh-Man is the booh-man of everyday moments of total bewilderment. Booh-Man Je Ne Sais Quoi was just an endearing intimidated little creature- not a booh-man at all, not like anything at all either.
